The Mississippi Certificate of Existence (Also referred to as the Mississippi Good Standing Certificate or Mississippi Certificate of Status) is an official document issued by the Mississippi Secretary of State stating that the entity has the authority to transact business it the State of Mississippi. The State issues a Certificate of Existence to any legal entity that is in good standing with the State of Mississippi and is in compliance with all state required formalities.
Upon application to the Mississippi Secretary of State a Certificate of Existence will be granted to any domestic or foreign profit and nonprofit corporation, limited liability company that was duly formed or registered within the State of Mississippi and is in good standing.
