The New Jersey Good Standing Certificate (Also referred to as the New Jersey Certificate of Status or New Jersey Certificate of Existence) is an official document issued by the New Jersey Secretary of State that certifies that the legal entity is registered with the State of New Jersey and is compliance with all state required formalities.
Upon application to the Office of the New Jersey Secretary of State a NJ Good Standing Certificate will be granted to any domestic or foreign profit and nonprofit corporation that was duly registered or formed within the State of New Jersey.
Requirements to be eligible for a Certificate of Good Standing: • Your entity must be registered within your State as a Corporation, LLC or LLP
• You must have filed all annual reporting as required by your State
• Your entity must have paid all State mandated fees and taxes in a timely fashion
